Salary range: £30,930 - £32,637 p.a. inc.

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

 

We have a statutory duty to the Homeless but our approach is unique. We aim to do much more for those in Housing Need at the earliest opportunity

The Post

 

Focussed on achieving the prevention of the loss of a tenancy or license, this role will deliver the best possible outcomes for our residents at a much earlier point where a threat of homelessness exists. You will determine the available options and pathways for resolving threats of homelessness, manage service user expectations whilst working with them proactively to pursue their options. You will empower service users to resolve their own homelessness and possibly future homelessness by providing a comprehensive suite of advice, assistance and support.
 
You will work flexibly with singles and childless couples as we recognise that no two circumstances are exactly the same and the resolution pathway will constantly be adapted to each case.

 

The Person

 

You must be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills, good knowledge of a range of housing options as well as good knowledge and understanding of Homelessness legislation and case law coupled with hands-on experience of making statutory decisions.
 
A people focussed person, you will be passionate about good customer service and take pride in delivering an excellent service. You need to be able to work proactively, be highly motivated, ambitious and ready for a new challenge.
