Salary range: £30,930 - £32,637 p.a. inc.

Contract: 1 x Fixed term (12 months)

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post

 

Provide efficient and accurate administration of the rent accounting processes in line with policies and procedures.

Carry out any actions required on mixed tenure income collection accounts.

Provide accurate information to customers, internal and external.

 

The Person

 

You must demonstrable knowledge of using Microsoft Office to an intermediate level i.e. using Word mail merge and Excel lookup functions.

You must have knowledge in at least one of the following:

• Rent accounting processes
• Direct Debit mandate system
• Housing Benefit understanding
• Social housing rent policy

You must have a qualification of Numeracy and Literacy which is the equivalent of GCSE/BTEC or be able to demonstrate skills of this level.

You must have relevant experience working in a finance environment and have experience of undertaking a variety of mathematical and statistical calculations.

• You must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing with a wide range of people, including Councillors, Contractors and other agencies.
• You must be confident in demonstrating presentations within your team.
• You must be highly self-motivated with the ability to independently.
• You must have problem solving skills and decision making skills - ability to deal with potentially complex situations within a busy workload, mitigate risks to customer and organisation, and achieve positive outcomes.
• You must have a flexible approach with the ability to respond effectively to changing circumstances.
